Throughout 2025, EcoMuvi completed a substantial update of its sustainability Standard for audiovisual productions.
The 2025 revision, submitted for approval to ACCREDIA, received a positive outcome, further strengthening the technical robustness and reliability of the system.
The update has strengthened the Standard through 33 new indicators, with a particular focus on:
project governance indicators during the development phase
the assessment of the impact of digital production and animation
new indicators distributed across the Agile, Standard, and Excellence pathways
a redesigned impact area: from Atmospheric Emissions to Impact Analysis, moving beyond GHG calculation alone to also include actions related to content accessibility and nature credits
The EcoMuvi 2025 Standard remains free of charge for the industry and responds even more precisely to the ESG compliance requirements increasingly requested today by public funds, banking institutions, private investors, foundations, and financing bodies, while continuing to serve as a unique reference point for audiovisual projects of varying complexity and nature.
In a landscape where productions are operating with increasingly narrow margins, EcoMuvi is strengthening its integrated model:
Accredited Standard + Operational Service + Independent Certification
The goal is not to provide theoretical guidelines, but to concretely support productions in:
accessing funding
implementation
reporting
improving economic, social, and environmental efficiency
The 2025 Standard marks a turning point: not just certification, but a strategic tool for competitiveness.
