Veronica, a sixteen-year-old girl, is spending her Christmas holidays with her grandfather in a small village in the Sicilian hinterland when a woman goes missing and fears resurface of the monster that had struck terror into the area ten years earlier. The girl suddenly begins to harbour a terrible suspicion: her grandfather himself might be the culprit.
