EcoMuvi at the Venice Film Festival: Crafting a Sustainable Future for the Creative Industries

On September 4th, during the Venice International Film Festival, EcoMuvi took part as a panelist in the presentation of the Report on Craft Professions by the Osservatorio Spettacolo e Ambiente — an initiative dedicated to strengthening sustainability across the performing arts and audiovisual sectors through training, research, and public dialogue.

Together with Echo Labs — a project pioneering sustainable logistics that combines environmental innovation, people’s wellbeing, and responsible resource management — EcoMuvi brought its field experience on how sustainability can be effectively integrated into film and audiovisual production workflows.

The event, moderated by Marco Gisotti, one of Italy’s leading experts in green economy, focused on two crucial topics: the sustainable use of wood and the future of creative professions. These themes represent not only the heart of ecological transition in the cultural industries, but also a new way of redefining production value — one where creativity and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.

The Osservatorio Spettacolo e Ambiente, promoted by the Italian Ministry of Culture and funded by Next Generation EU, continues to act as a catalyst for innovation and sustainability in the arts, bringing together institutions, professionals, and research centers committed to building a greener creative ecosystem.
