EcoMuvi at Biografilm 2026: the EcoMuvi Award debuts at Bio to B – Industry Days

Press / Events / News /

For the first time, EcoMuvi will take part in Biografilm, within Bio to B – Industry Days, the Festival’s professional platform dedicated to networking, development and the production of European documentaries.

The collaboration with Associazione Fanatic About Festivals, the organization behind Biografilm, is part of the 2026 edition of Bio to B – Industry Days and will involve EcoMuvi in two main areas: the Pitching Forum, with the launch of the EcoMuvi Award 2026, and a space for one-to-one meetings with accredited professionals.

EcoMuvi Award 2026

As part of the Pitching Forum, EcoMuvi will sponsor the EcoMuvi Award 2026, which will be presented to one of the projects in competition. The award will consist of an EcoMuvi consultancy programme, to be completed within nine months of the announcement.

The aim is to provide the winning project with practical tools to integrate environmental, social and economic sustainability into its production pathway, starting from the earliest stages of development.

EcoMuvi will also have the opportunity to present its work, approach and assessment criteria to the Pitching Forum jury, contributing to a more informed evaluation of the projects from a sustainability perspective.

EcoMuvi one-to-one sessions for accredited professionals

On 9 and 10 June, EcoMuvi will also hold one-to-one meetings with professionals accredited to Bio to B. These sessions will provide an opportunity for direct discussion about the tools, methods and opportunities connected with the sustainability of audiovisual productions.

Participants will be able to learn more about the EcoMuvi system, how the Standard is applied, the role of the EcoMuvi Manager, the opportunities available to productions, funds, festivals and industry professionals, and possible pathways towards a more sustainable and measurable management of audiovisual projects.

A collaboration that brings sustainability to where projects begin

For EcoMuvi, taking part in Bio to B marks an important step: being present in the places where audiovisual projects are presented, discussed and connected with partners, funds and potential production stakeholders.

Sustainability is not limited to the set or the production phase. It can – and must – be considered from the outset, when a project takes shape, defines its production plan, builds relationships with local communities, allocates resources and assesses its impacts.

Through the EcoMuvi Award 2026, the dedicated one-to-one sessions and its contribution to the Biografilm Academy, EcoMuvi confirms its commitment to making sustainability a structural, practical and verifiable element of the audiovisual sector.
