EcoMuvi and Ecoprod win the Eurimages call for a European E-Learning Platform on sustainability

Stampa / News /

[Brescia, April 9, 2024] – EcoMuvi, a leader in sustainable development for audiovisual productions, is pleased to announce that the project for a European e-learning platform on sustainability has been officially selected by the Eurimages Committee. In collaboration with the French company Ecoprod, EcoMuvi—within a broader European partnership—submitted a high-quality proposal that captured the attention of the evaluation committee.

The project is the result of a joint effort among EcoMuvi, Ecoprod, GreenEyes Production, Wallimage, Creast – Click & Shoot Green, Green Producers Club, Anne Ahn Lund, Dörte Schneider Garcia, and Eva Dvořáková Pérez. It will focus on creating an innovative platform that provides educational resources and tools to promote sustainability within the European audiovisual industry.

“Being selected for this important initiative is a recognition of our commitment to sustainability in the audiovisual sector,” said Ludovica Chiarini, CEO of EcoMuvi Srl. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Ecoprod and to work together on this e-learning platform, which will have a significant impact on how the industry manages its environmental, social, and economic practices.”

EcoMuvi, the international standard for sustainable development in audiovisual productions, stands out for its accredited methodology and concrete support in analyzing, reducing, and certifying each production’s sustainability impacts. Through the EcoMuvi Protocol and EcoMuvi Managers, the company promotes an integrated approach to sustainability, translating into tangible environmental, social, and economic development goals on set.

The audiovisual and film industries release millions of tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere each year and generate increasing amounts of waste and pollution. As sectors that convey messages and shape collective imagination, they bear a particular responsibility for ecological awareness—and must therefore set an example in production methods and creative workflows.

EcoMuvi’s commitment to rethinking production activities and improving efficiency on multiple fronts reflects its mission to guide the audiovisual industry toward more sustainable and responsible practices.

Ecoprod, active in promoting sustainable film production in France, highlights and supports films and crews working to reduce the environmental footprint of the film and television industries.

This project marks a significant step forward toward a more sustainable and environmentally responsible film industry.

Partners in the project include Ecoprod, GreenEyes Production, Wallimage, Creast – Click & Shoot Green, Green Producers Club, Anne Ahn Lund, Dörte Schneider Garcia, and Eva Dvořáková Pérez.
